Quality Control Checker
We are currently recruiting a Quality Control Checker for a permanent, full-time role, starting in 2026.
Position Type: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum
Location: Southampton
Primary Purpose of the Position
To carry out quality checks on rolling stock and associated parts, ensuring all items are safe and meet customer specifications before leaving the facility. This includes inspecting units, stock, and parts to ensure consistency and uniformity.
Duties Include:
- Carrying out quality checks on rolling stock, units, parts, and associated components
- Inspecting items to ensure they meet customer specifications prior to release
- Completing quality checks following PDI, reworks/repairs, modifications, body spraying, and car washing
- Rejecting units or parts that do not meet required standards and returning them for rework
- Completing all associated paperwork, checklists, and inspection reports
- Capturing all quality-related activities using the TPA system/scanner
- Maintaining testing equipment and reporting any faults or defects
- Communicating regularly with supervisors and relevant stakeholders on progress
- Supporting daily and weekly targets, highlighting any issues in good time
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, dress code, and professionalism
- Ensuring waste is handled and disposed of correctly in line with regulations
- Acting as a positive ambassador for the business and supporting the wider team where required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role (preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong administration skills
- Computer literate
- Positive, reliable, and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Team player with a service-oriented and quality-driven mindset
- Basic English language skills (English is the company’s global business language)
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to undertake training and maintain required certifications
