Electrician – Upskill to Solar PV

Location: Portsmouth, Southampton & Guildford
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 Basic + OTE £60,000
Benefits: Company Van + Fuel Card

We have an exciting opportunity for qualified Electricians looking to move into the growing Renewables sector and upskill into Solar PV installations. This is an excellent chance to future-proof your career while earning strong OTE with job-based incentives.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems to a high standard
• Fault-finding and wiring for heating controls, door entry, and warden call systems
• Attend breakdowns and urgent repairs, including call-out rota
• Manage job schedules and order parts as required
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations
• Log updates using handheld PDA systems
• Liaise professionally with residents and clients
• Complete certification, reports, and required paperwork
• Work collaboratively with plumbing and building teams

Experience Required

• Experience in Social Housing installation and maintenance
• Experience working directly with residents
• Domestic heating wiring experience (or willingness to learn)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to pass DBS check

Qualifications Required

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18)
• AM2
• C&G 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing
• Gold ECS NVQ Level 3 Card (desirable)
