Site Manager
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
Salary: £52,000 – £55,000 per annum
Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, medical, pension

Inspire Futures are currently recruiting a Site Manager for a well-established turnkey construction contractor in Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing a safe, efficient, and cost-effective service stream across all areas of delivery, ensuring high-quality work within contract timescales
- Develop site-specific plans with Senior Management and continually review, implement, monitor, and enforce procedures
- Review progress and liaise with internal departments; prepare reports as required
- Review method statements and risk assessments; chair pre-start meetings with subcontractors
- Issue notices and relevant contractual correspondence to subcontractors at appropriate times
- Manage projects from contract award to handover within budgetary constraints
- Discharge Health and Safety responsibilities according to company procedures
- Monitor the site’s financial position and contribute to forecasts
- Maintain accurate site diaries and highlight risks to management
- Control and monitor day works for subcontractors
- Select and order tools and materials as required
- Apply financial and technical knowledge to meet business and customer objectives
- Support production, analysis, and mitigation of project risks
- Assist with short-term and project programmes
- Maintain understanding of construction techniques and work closely with technical staff to develop cost-effective solutions
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- CSCS
- NEBOSH (desirable)
- Scaffold Awareness (desirable)
- PASMA, IPAF, or other relevant certifications (if applicable)
- Proven experience in managing employees and teams
- Flexible with working hours and able to travel regionally if required
- Strong problem-solving and ownership skills
- Commitment to customer care and focus
- Awareness of operative skill areas beyond primary trade
